How WOLFKLIP handles licenses, activation, support and the data needed to keep the app working properly.
WOLFKLIP is responsible for the processing of personal data through wolfklip.com, the WOLFKLIP software, licenses, activation, reset requests and support. You can contact us via cmd-c@wolfklip.com.
Depending on how you use WOLFKLIP, we may process your name, email address, serial number, license status, payment status, activation time, last license check, hashed machine identifier, app version, support messages and technical server logs.
The text klips you store in WOLFKLIP remain local on your Mac. The app does not synchronize clipped content with WOLFKLIP and there is no cloud environment for klip content.
We use data to create licenses, email serial numbers, activate WOLFKLIP, limit misuse of serial numbers, manage trial periods, handle payments and orders, provide support, improve security and comply with legal obligations.
We process personal data based on performance of an agreement, legitimate interest, consent where needed and legal obligations, for example for administration or tax retention duties.
For activation, WOLFKLIP uses a hashed machine identifier. This allows us to check whether a serial number is active on a maximum of 1 computer. We do not knowingly store raw hardware data, but a derived hash intended for license control.
When payments are enabled, payment data may be processed by payment providers such as Mollie, iDEAL, PayPal or similar parties. They process payment data according to their own terms and privacy statements.
We do not keep data longer than necessary. License and purchase data are kept as long as needed for activation, support, administration and legal obligations. Support messages are kept as long as reasonably needed to handle questions and recognize recurring issues.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data when needed for hosting, email, payment, license control, support, security or when required by law.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. This includes limited access, secure connections where possible and the use of a hash for machine identification.
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer or object to the processing of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Send your request to cmd-c@wolfklip.com.
If you believe we do not handle your personal data properly, please contact us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
We may update this privacy statement when WOLFKLIP, the website, license control or legislation changes. The latest version is available on wolfklip.com.
